In the realm of Teleria, where ancient magic and forgotten lore reign, a secretive group of sorcerers and theologians known as the Nephilists dared to defy the impossible. They sought to merge two opposing forces: the darkness of a Demonspawn and the light of a Lightbringer, creating a being of unparalleled power and wisdom. This radical experiment, conducted during the tumultuous Great Schism of the Lumayan Church, resulted in the astonishing creation of Siegfrund, a Nephilim – a fusion of the two opposing entities.

The Nephilists, fueled by obsession and backed by wealthy patrons, successfully bound a powerful Demonspawn using ancient relics and rare magics. Within a specially constructed tower in the Dusk Hills, they attempted to infuse the Demonspawn with a Lightbringer soul, a closely guarded secret that would ultimately prove fatal. The ritual’s catastrophic outcome obliterated the tower, erasing the Nephilists and their audacious plan from Telerian history. Yet, from the rubble emerged Siegfrund, a cosmological paradox, with two souls and energies in constant turmoil.

Siegfrund’s existence was a battleground of conflicting Light and Darkness, with neither personality dominant. Fearing discovery, he vanished into the Krokhan Desert, seeking refuge in an ancient underground tomb. There, he discovered a grave bearing his name, and in a poignant act, donned the armor and assumed the pose of the deceased, effectively hiding from the world. For centuries, Siegfrund lay in contemplative silence, gradually integrating his opposing halves, with the Lightbringer nature holding sway, yet acknowledging the importance of balancing both aspects.

The stillness was shattered by the arrival of lrethi ghoul-thralls and inquisitive necromancers, who unwittingly prompted Siegfrund’s awakening. As he rose to defend himself, his Lightbringer half initially prevailed, unleashing righteous fury upon his attackers. However, upon slaying a necromancer who begged for mercy, Siegfrund’s emotional response triggered a profound shift. His Darkness aspect surged, transforming him, and in a remarkable display of regeneration, he restored the necromancer to life. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of Siegfrund’s journey towards self-discovery, guided by his newfound tutor.

As Siegfrund began to grasp the true nature of his existence, he wondered if he could ever find a place in the world. This enigmatic being, born from the fusion of opposites, now embarked on a path of growth, torn between the contradictory desires of his dual heritage. With each step, Siegfrund edged closer to understanding the intricacies of Teleria and the mysterious, uncharted potential that lay within himself.
